The Central Library is built in an area of 800 Sqm. The uniqueness of our library lies on expansive study space blended with state-of-art facilities. The library also provides useful and research oriented services to the reading community in calm, cozy and clean atmosphere. The Library has high density of shelving for printed collections The Digital Library service unit provides access to computers with internet facility. A separate dedicated leased line installed for high-speed internet connectivity. Internet Access centre in the library and E-Resources centre with computers provide high speed Internet connectivity to institution faculty, research scholars and students so that they can communicate conveniently and collaborate with academic counterparts in and around the world. Besides, wireless network access (Wi-Fi) for those who would prefer to bring their own laptops or notebook are also available. Facility for Photocopy at nominal rate is also provided to the readers in the Library. Library has collections of audio-visual materials. We have membership with DELNET. Our Library has Barcode scanner facility.


  • To systematically and regularly collect relevant books, journals, magazines and such other publications, in conventional or in electronic media, for continuous updating and strengthening the resources of the library and its data bank.
  • To provide the right ambience and facilities for the acquisition and dissemination of information to faculty and students.

Rules & Regulations

  • Members/ users have to keep their personal belongings at the property counter
  • Users of library are not permitted to take personal copies of books or other printed material inside the library.
  • Silence must be strictly observed inside the library
  • Books, journals, other documents, library equipments, etc., should be handled with care.
  • Marking, underlining, writing or defacing the books in the library in any form, if detected, will attract fine and other punishments.
  • Users will have to produce identity card along with the library ticket at the time of issue of books and Other library documents.
  • Users have to examine the books carefully and report damages if any to the assistant on the duty. The borrower will be held responsible for any damage discovered subsequent to the issue of book by him/her.
  • Librarian reserves the right to recall at any time any book issued from the library. Librarian is also empowered to terminate the loan facility to any borrower, if he/she is found to infringe on library rules.
  • When a ticket is lost, the matter should be brought immediately to the notice of the librarian for necessary action.
  • Loss of the library ticket will entail a fine of Rs. 25 /-.
  • Users/ members have to surrender the library ticket when they leave the institute. ‘Non-liability certificate’ will be issued to a user, only after the ticket is returned and the dues, if any, to the library are cleared.
  • Loss of the library Book will entail one and half the Book amount


The KRCE library is fully computerized and can be accessed using the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) system which enables the students to search the required books by specifying the author, title, subject and keywords.
